Studies suggest that if you never seem to have enough closet space then there are certain closet symptoms which you can face.

You may avoid your closet; approach towards it cautiously, grab what you need and quickly slam the door to avoid the jungle within. A cluttered, overstuffed closet can even be a safety hazard. Picture this, you open the closet door and a shoe falls on your head. This might also injure you. The answer is more closet space.

First things first
Before you get started, take a good look at your closet. Observe it for some minutes and figure out which part has more space and which part has lesser space. Use your space more efficiently. Add a shelf or two on the top half to make room for more clothes.

Throw it away
The next step is to go through your closet and ruthlessly get rid of all the things which you don't use. If you haven't worn something for a year or more, give it away to your maid. Keep the clothes which you love and which fit you. There is no point in keeping clothes which are five years old and half your size. This will make you feel worse. This season, keep your woollens and dump the summer clothes away.

Organise your stuff
Keep a compartment for your trousers, shirts, skirts and other clothes. Keep a separate space for your undergarments and make sure that they are not mixed with other stuff.
