STORAGE FOR TOYS
If you are tired of keeping your kid's toys in place after a busy day, then use some baskets and tubs to keep them. It will be easy for your kids to pull it out as and when they need to. Keep the colour of the tubs and baskets bright. Look for some coloured cane baskets or kid's bathing tubs which can hold a good number of items. For small cars and building blocks use a separate storage which is transparent so that it is easy for the kids to spot them and they don't need to pour the full basket if they are looking for a block which go missing as they build their imaginary castle.
COLOUR UP THE WALLS
When you do up the walls for your kid's room think beyond pink and blue. Try vivid hues and make a rainbow, sun shine or some colourful butterflies on the walls. These themed walls will increase the child's power of imagination. Kids below the age of ten love the ceiling of their room to tell a story, as they fall asleep. So put some stickers of stars and planets which will give the feeling of a sky by night.
CLEAN-LINED FURNITURE
To make your kids' room look clutter free, opt for no-fuss furniture. Keep the bed colourful with a fancy mosquito net which will make them feel that they are sleeping in a tent. Don't go for fabric-covered stools and chairs. Keep low maintenance furniture.
FABRICS TO BE USED
Forget the silk white cushions and gold tissue curtains. Instead opt for vibrant colours that can cover up the inevitable spills of milk and chicken broth. Use fabrics that can be washed at home. Use zip-up cushion covers. Bright Roman blinds are a better option than curtains for a kid's room.
