MANAGING WORK-LIFE BALANCE
I minimise late evenings and make sure that I am home for dinner. I earmark some `quiet time' for myself on weekends where I sit in my study (no phone, email access) and reflect on the good, the bad and the ugly. I try and plan my work-related travel as much in advance as I can. Having some common interests in the family too drives you to find time to enjoy those activities. For instance, all of us really enjoy watching films together and make sure we do that on most weekends.

BEING A FIT MAN
Finding time for sports. I try and follow a regular routine of tennis and golf. I have also started cycling in DelhiGurgaon with a group of colleagues.

ENERGY HIGH AND HAPPINESS
Spending time outdoors. I am happiest when I'm enjoying an activity together with my family, like playing tennis or watching a great film. At work, I get my high when I see my team members succeed.

RISK-TAKER OR A MICRO-PLANNER
It is not OR but AND.You have to be good at both, as different situations require different approaches. For instance, I love adventure sports (bungee jumping, zip-lining etc.) and do not mind getting up on stage impromptu to perform.At the same time, I can be very fastidious when it comes to planning major events - be it a dinner at home or a company event.

SPIRITUAL DIET
Playing golf is part of my spiritual diet as it teaches me to have oodles of patience, humility and self-awareness.

HANDLING FAILURE/SUCCESS
I like to celebrate success with my family and those at work who have contributed to it. Failure is the greatest teacher. When I confront failure, I am not afraid to take responsibility for it. I also spend quite some time reflecting on what we can learn from it rather than finding someone to blame.

CRISIS MANAGEMENT
Don't panic. Stay calm. No opinions. Only facts. Be honest. Communicate.Communicate. Communicate.
