How I start my day

I have found that the most fabulous way to start my day is with a smile. As I open my eyes, and befo ore I start to think about this and that, I just smile into my life and immediately I can feel myself f becoming relaxed and centred. I am aware of the preciousness of the moment.

At first, it was hard to remember to do this and I have had to train myself to keep this excellent habit. It is good to remember that a simple smile changes our chemistry, flooding our system with feel-good hormones (endorphins) that naturally increase our feelings of confidence and wellbeing.

So I start the day as mind fully as possible. Being mindful of the moment stops me from losing myself in thoughts of the past or concerns about the future. I like to `be here now' as much as possible because my life feels more juicy and real when I bring my attention to what is right in front of me.

Learning to appreciate what I have has changed my life and my work.
