Here are the steps for the perfect smoky eyes.

Apply a primer on your lids and let it dry. This keeps eyeshadow from melting and getting messy.

Pick the colour of the eyeshadow ? black, brown and grey are the usual colours ? and apply an eyeliner in the same colour. Apply it above the upper lash and ensure that it gets thicker as it reaches the middle of the eye.

Use an eyeliner pencil on the bottom lash. Run your finger over the line to smudge it. Apply a little eyeshadow for a proper smudge effect.

Pick a darker eye shadow shade and use a brush to blend the colours, Ensure that you start blending at the lash line so that your eye liner is not seen.

Finally, apply a generous coat of mascara on your lashes so that they look thick and dark.
