Before I even open my eyes, I create space in my mind to appreciate the touch of the sheets, the sound of my son's breath in the room next door, the chirping birds outside, the flickering sunlight playing hide and seek with the curtains... It evokes gratitude in me, reminding me of the joy that physical life offers.
Every morning is a new beginning, promising opportunities yet to unfold.
It is exciting and full of `presents' if I stay in the present. The most important relationship we have is with ourself, because it affects everything in our inner and outer reality. So, I think, appreciation is my way of setting the emotional tone for my day. Then I rise, make the bed and get ready to meet the new day.Being grateful for even the smallest of things puts me in the right frequency to be who I truly am, and do what I really love. While enjoying my coffee, I share thoughts, plans and dreams with my husband in our kitchen. Now that I think of it, for the last 30 years, my husband and I have actually co-created and daydreamt our beautiful reality into being - one morning at a time.
