Why do these men wear the same clothes all the time?

Great minds do think alike. At an event a couple of days ago, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was asked why he wears the same grey T-shirt at almost all public events.

And the entrepreneur's answer was that it saves him time, which he would otherwise have to spend on making a frivolous decision. In doing so, Zuckerberg seems to be following the same ideology as Apple founder Steve Jobs, who would always be seen in a black turtleneck, blue jeans and sneakers. Even US President Barack Obama has a similar theory. Some time ago, he told a popular fashion magazine that he "pared down his wardrobe" to only grey or blue suits to save himself any hassle.

Just like these busybodies, there are a handful of other men, who chose to keep their wardrobes simple. Whether it is a strategy to save time or create a specific image, they sure have made a striking statement with their choices. We take a look at some of them and the 'uniforms' they chose for themselves.

Mark Zuckerberg
Seen in: Grey t-shirt, jeans and grey hoodie
Mark would rather serve people than spend time deciding what to wear, he has said. In the past, he has said that he probably has 20
pieces of the same grey T-shirt that
he wears.

Steve Jobs
Seen in: Black turtleneck, blue jeans and sneakers
From the 1990s, Jobs had the same dress code and wore it like a uniform, which probably made him among the most recognisable tech honchos. Jobs' turtlenecks were made by Japanese designer Issey Miyake, who created over a hundred pieces for him. Jobs cited both convenience and desire for a signature style as the reason for wearing the same clothes.

Barack Obama
Seen in: Grey or blue suits
The American President is always hard-pressed for time, so it wasn't surprising when he said in an interview, "I wear only grey or blue suits.
I don't want to make decisions about what I'm eating or wearing. I have too many other decisions to make." But when he made an exception this year by wearing a tan suit, reportedly, the hastag #YesWeTan was trending that day.

Karl Lagerfeld
Seen in: Black suit, tie and gloves
The iconic fashion designer always sports a black suit, tie, sunglasses and
accessories like gloves. Despite being one of the most influential names in fashion, Lagerfeld's own style is usually restricted to monochromatic shades.

Abbas-Mustan
Seen in: White shirts, pants and shoes
The brothers never deliberately wanted to create a dress code, but the decades have seen them lay claim to the all-white look with elan. They once said, "We had white shirts as our school uniform and never felt the need to change our colour."
They did try to wear suits for a premiere once, but were so uncomfortable that they decided to stick to the all-white ensemble forever.
