NATURAL REMEDIES
Chew gum:
Yes, something as basic as this can provide relief. As per a study by The Journal of Dental Research, people exhibiting symptoms of reflux got relief when they chewed a piece of sugar-free gum for half an hour post their meal.
Raw almonds:
Eat a few raw almonds every morning or even after a meal.
This is alkaline-producing food and said to lower heartburn symptoms.
Warm water with lime:
Start your morn ing with a cup of warm water with lemon juice. This balances acid levels and helps digestion.
Eat one banana and apple per day:
Bananas have natural antacids, which act as a buffer against acid reflux. Also have an apple a day; it can relieve stomach discomfort and acidity. Aloe vera juice is also known to reduce heartburn.
Sleep on your left side:
Studies have pointed out that sleeping on your left side eases the pressure that builds reflux symptoms and thus gives relief.
