Host your own cake mixing party

The season of cake mixing is here! While hotels are filled with these events, where smiling guests are seen having a great time mixing cakes, you can host one such party at your home too! Sabina Xavier gives us a few tips on how to get it right at home.

- Make sure that the ingredients you need — dry fruits, coco, eggs, sugar, etc. — are kept ready. If there are some nuts that need to be broken, make sure it's done in advance so you don't keep running around.
- Keep the ingredients in colourful bowls, so the kids have a great time mixing the cake.
- Since the Christmas tree is put up during this time and kids love decorating the tree, keep the decorative items ready.
- To get into the Christmassy mood, get red aprons, hats and gloves. This is sure to pep up the spirit.
- The guests might be mixing the cake, but they too would need something to keep going. Make sure you have nibbles nearby, so the guests can keep munching on something.
- Return gifts are always a hit. Keep a few give-away presents for the children, so they have something more to take back from your party.
