The English translation of Milind Bokil's novel Shala, which was made into a film by Sujay Dahake, was recently published. The interesting part here is that the new book has the film's poster as its cover. Being a common practice in Hollywood, we bring to you similar examples where books were republished with their film adaptations' posters as their new covers.

The Hunger Games trilogy
Set in a fictional community, the Hunger Games universe is one that hosts an annual death match where two participants are chosen to battle it out until one of them dies. Jennifer Lawrence plays the titular role in the film.

Dan Brown's thrilling and fast paced novel about a Harvard symbology professor and his exploits that trace the existence of the Illuminati brotherhood was gripping in both, its book and film versions.

Jack Reacher
Revolving around the life of a former defence person, Jack Reacher, who post retirement takes up odd jobs of investigating dangerous situations, the film had Tom Cruise in the lead role. The book was written by Lee Child.

12 Years A Slave
A true account of the life of Solomon Northup, a freeborn black man sold into slavery. The memoir provides details about his kidnapping and how he manages to free himself after living in bondage for 12 years.

The Great Gatsby
F Scott Fitzgerald's famous book that is woven around the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his penchant for an opulent lifestyle was made into a film with Leonardo DiCaprio portraying Gatsby.

The Reader
Based on the book by Bernhard Schlink, the film version has Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes in prominent roles. The film unfolds with a heated affair between the lead pair and a court trial involving Winslet's character and her Nazi links.

The Notebook
The film that got Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams much recognition is based on Nicholas Sparks' novel by the same name. Based in the 1940s it is a love story narrated from an elderly man's notebook.

The Twilight series
The books and films in this series gave the audience a high dose of vampire fiction and earned a huge fan following. Stephenie Meyer's books have since displayed the lead actors from the film on their covers.
