So are you working towards getting those perfect abs? There are a few things that you should keep in mind before attempting an ab crunch workout.

Always begin with some light stretching. A warm up always helps before an ab workout. Since ab crunches require you to lift your head and upper back off of the floor, loosening up helps you prevent straining any muscles in these areas. If you are working out at the gym, there should be mats available for you to use for ab crunches. It is inadvisable to perform ab crunches without mats as it can harm your back. If you are working out at home, place a towel or mat underneath of you, so you do not have to lie down directly on the carpet. Don't fill your tummy with water before starting the workout. It will make you feel sick and uncomfortable while working out.
