Even though traditional attire have been ruling the occasion, contemporary men in India are going global with their attire. What's the difference
The basic difference between a tuxedo and a suit is the satin. While tuxedos have satin at the lapels, trim of the pocket, buttons and even a strip of satin down the leg of the trousers, suits have none. And black goes best with a tuxedo, suits can be of the colour you like.
Tux it up
Tuxedos are all about the right combinations. A crisp shirt underneath the tuxedo jacket with additional frills or crease at the front works the best. Add little more grace to your tuxedo by wearing a classy pair of cufflinks. How blingy you want to make your overall look would decide the colour of your cufflinks. Mix and matching is mostly a no no with tuxedos, unless you want to wear a kamabandh and use a contrasting colour. Except for that one thing, it has to be matching.
Bow down
A bow tie goes best with a tuxedo, while many people do wear long ties, but a bow tie is traditional. So if you want to create a complete look, bow tie is the best bet.
Socks and shoes
While socks should match your trousers, your shoes should be black, neat, well polished and comfortable. Wearing a pair of comfortable shoes is all it takes to complete the style icon you need to be on your big day.
Make sure the tuxedo fits you well. Get in shape and shed those extra flab if there are any, and fit it right, to feel right.
