Last year, Gwyn revealed that she avoids feeding pasta, bread or rice to her children — 10-year-old Apple and eight-year-old Moses. Given her strict diet rules, the 'conscious uncoupling' with husband Chris Martin was waiting to happen.
No-TV rule

Most mother hawkeye their children's TV viewing habits anyway, but trust Madge to go a step further. When sending her children to meet her ex Guy Ritchie, she had several rules in place — no watching TV or reading the newspaper. Apparently, her children are only allowed to eat organic, macrobiotic diet and drink Kabbalah-blessed water. Their clothes shouldn't be made from man-made fibres and Ritchie is allowed to read the kids just one bedtime book, The English Roses — Madonna's own literary creation.
Bird-style feeding
Celeb mommy: Alicia Silverstone
The Clueless star received much flak for posting a video of herself feeding her baby, Bear Blu, chewed-up food from her mouth. The unusual parenting method, known as premastication, has been termed dangerous by nutritionists as it helps pass on viruses to the child. However, Silverstone defended the technique, saying that it was a part of the weaning process.
Eating placenta

In 2012, Jones admitted that she ate her own placenta as part of her 'healthy' post-natal regimen.
Potty training 101
Celeb mommy: Gisele Bundchen
Known as Elimination Communication, this is a potty-training method where parents learn to tune in to their baby's facial and verbal expressions, to anticipate pees and poops. Though time-consuming, it promotes diaperless babies and supermodel Gisele announced that she had successfully potty-trained her six-month-old son, Benjamin, using this method.
Mane matters

New-age parents are all about letting their kids make their own decisions, Celine Dion isn't any different. The singer also let son Rene-Charles make his own decision when it came to his haircut. It was a little surprising then, that the kid grew his hair till his waist and didn't go in for a haircut till he was eight. Finally, due to school regulations, he had to chop off those long locks.
Attachment parenting

Though considered detrimental to a child's development by experts, many Hollywood celebs swear by attachment
parenting.
The late Peaches Geldof allowed her children to sleep in her bed at night, and breastfeed them longer than normally recommended, believing this to be the proper way of responding to a child's needs.
Co-sleeping, an attachment parenting trait, is also followed by many celebs. Just last month, Kourtney Kardashian admitted that her children — four-year-old Mason and 19-month-old Penelope — still sleep in her bed. A few years ago, Jolie famously revealed that Brad and she were such fans of co-sleeping, that they actually had a custom bed built to fit their entire family and had a weekly practice of 'family sleep'.
Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik, who is known for her supporting act in a geek comedy show, was breastfeeding her youngest son, Fred, till he was three.
Bloody bandages as art

The Wanted star reportedly developed a weird habit where she used to collect her kids' used bandages as a way of creating bloody art installations. Edgy and artistic as always, eh Angie?
