Colours: Know which colors suit your complexion and skin tone. There's no harm in playing with colors and experimenting, but not at the expense of making a fool of yourself. If monochrome suits you best, go for that with a dash of colour here and there.
Accessorize: There are times when you over accessorise and there are times when you let your clothes do the talking. Know the difference and dress accordingly. You don't want the bling police to arrest you for being too OTT.
