How I start my day: Manisha Koirala

I have begun to value every sunrise. I love my mornings, the quiet space they provide. Mornings are symbolic of a new life, new beginnings.

I have learnt to value every moment and live in the 'now'. I start my day at 5 am with meditation. I read something positive to uplift my mood. I walk for an hour and do yoga. Thrice a week, I go to the gym. I enjoy green tea and healthy cereals with nuts. I like a heavy breakfast. I've started making my own vegetable juices, which are incredibly healthy.

Your health is an outcome of your efforts; it requires daily maintenance. Meditation allows me to control my thoughts. I have learnt not to believe all my thoughts. The mind's nature is to worry and mornings are the best time to train the mind to be happy and positive. Value life and it will value you in return. In a crisis, it is natural to be scared. I still worry. But meditation teaches you that even this phase will pass. I feel the beauty of every day and every moment. I don't think we should be looking back at life with any regret when on our death bed.
