Young adults opt printed books over ebooks

A survey has revealed that young adults prefer reading printed books over ebooks.

The survey conducted by Voxburner found that 62 percent of the people from the age of 16-24 are more interested in reading a printed book, the Guardian reported.

When asked about preferences for physical products versus digital content, 48 percent of the 1,420 young people said that printed books are most desired in material forms than movies, while 47 percent said that they preferred newspapers and magazines.

32 percent preferred CDs and 31 percent said they liked video games.

When asked about the reason why they preferred a book than a ebook, 51 percent said that they like to hold the product.

20 percent said that they liked being not restricted to a particular device, 10 percent said that it was easy to share, 9 percent liked the packaging, while 6 percent said that they could sell the book when used once.
