The Economist Intelligence Unit worldwide cost of living index 2013 placed Norway's capital, Oslo fourth after Sydney, reports The Age. The report said it is a familiar position for the Japanese capital, which has been the world's most expensive city for all bar a handful of the last 20 years. Oslo was closely followed by Melbourne, Singapore, Zurich, Paris, Caracas and Geneva. World's top 10 most expensive cities: 1. Japan, Tokyo 2. Japan, Osaka 3. Australia, Sydney 4. Norway, Oslo 5.
