Why most workers suffer stress

Half of British workers feel stress in their jobs every day, according to a new research.

One in five workers is too rushed to take a single lunch break during the week, the report said.

The study found that bosses do not care about their health as it is no longer a priority in a tough economic climate, the Daily Express reported.

The study conducted by the British Heart Foundation found that many workers are desk-bound, with a fifth having no physical activity at all and a quarter only managing about 20 minutes a day.

The research, which polled 1,200 workers, also suggested that work-related stress was taking a dramatic toll on the nation's health as many people rely on regular quick-fixes of coffee or chocolate to cope with stress.
