There may be circumstances that you end up choosing a shade darker than your skin tone, the end result being making you look comical and unnatural. Foundations do not act like bronzers. Ask an expert if you have problems selecting the right one for yourself. Sample the foundation in natural light and apply a small amount to your cheekbones and jaw line.
Applying too much foundation: Do not use too much foundation on the face. Using more than required does not hide pimples or scars. If you have dark circles and pigmentation marks, use a concealer instead of a foundation.
Not blending the foundation well: It is always advisable to blend the foundation well before application. Start by blending at the forehead and slowly spread all over your face, moving in circular motion. Then blend the jawline and your hair line until the foundation lines vanish completely. Do not forget to apply the foundation to the neck. Blend the patches well.
