Have a no-clutter home

The actor couple live in a nicely doneup two bedroom hall flat that has been designed by Raavee, along with architect Amishi Treasurer Gupta. "We have taken all precautions to not clutter our home, with random stuff. Instead of going in for anything ostentatious, we prefer a style that is subtle and our main aim is to create more space," says Raavee, who has set up the Aura chain of Thai spas in Mumbai, along with Manoje.

The living room sports wooden flooring and the couple has opted for custom-made furniture, to deck up the room. As the couple socialise a lot, they have created comfortable seating in living room. One of the walls in the living room is adorned with black and silver wall paper. The sofa in the room is made of leather and velvet, in brownish black colour. Near the bar is tangy orange wall paper which adds brightness, to the area.

The room features colourful lamps and a Buddha statue, which the actor couple had bought from Bangkok. Among other things, the room is also adorned with a blue colour handmade carpet, which has a touch of silver, as Amishi has added sprinklers for the effect. Since Raavee is fond of red colour, he has used red lamps and cushions in the room, to give it a personal touch.

In the dining room, all the lights are beautifully concealed in various places. So, there is no direct light in the room. The light from these hidden light fixtures, are reflected from the walls and ceilings, to create a soft, subdued look in the room. The couple have opted for a low dining table, to create the illusion of more space. The dining table chairs are custom-made and they have a touch of gold, on the leather.

The actor couple has opted for an open kitchen. "I wanted an open kitchen, as it makes the home look spacious. Since I love cooking, I usually spend considerable time, in the kitchen. An open kitchen helps me stay connected with people, in the living room," smiles Raavee. The kitchen is done up with yellow and blue tiles and sports abstract art frames and posters of food, which they bought from Dubai.

The couple's bedroom has an elegant look, with a floating bed and wardrobes made of teak wood. To break the monotony of a wooden wardrobe, mirrors have been creatively used all over. The room is doneup with rich Kashmiri embroidered curtains and has a book shelf and a huge dressing table, with lights all around them. The home also has a lot of storage space, which has been cleverly created and concealed. In the bathrooms, the actor has opted for red and white tiles, which give it a vibrant look. "Home is a cosy space for the family and it should look elegant, while offering comfort. I enjoy dressing it up," smiles Raavee.

"We are lucky to reside in a centrally located place that is Bandra reclamation. The Western Express highway is barely five minutes away and the Bandra-Worli sealink is also close by. The area is, however, peaceful, as we are away from the crowded market area," concludes Manoje.
