After a hard day's work, there's no better place to unwind and rest than your bedroom. Here are a few things you can do to make it more relaxing.

- Choose sheets and covers that are soft and luxurious. Given the Indian weather, cotton or cotton blends are preferable. Invest in a nice AC comforter. Pillows should be of good quality so that they give your head the support it needs.

- The lighting in your bedroom shouldn't be harsh. Choose soft lights, lamps that can add character to your room. Fragrant candles can also help set the right mood. You can also put some lavender or vanilla scented potpourri.

- Colours can play on your mood. While white is always good, some soft hues can lift your room. Go for a white and purple theme, or other soft pastel colours. Paint one wall in a colour of your choice and keep the rest of the walls white. Dried flowers can also add character to the room. Picture frames, candlestick holders, wall hangings or small curios can help you add a personal touch to your room.
