Talking about his typical Punjabi family, he said, "Mujhe joke sunane ka bahut shauk tha. I was the entertainer in all our family gatherings. But I was also very good in Maths. So my parents used to say, 'Hasao kamm, Maths padho, engineer bano. But today I make a living from the entertainment I provide, not from Maths," laughed Chetan.
Ask him about what's next in terms of his novels, and Chetan promises something around next year Diwali. "I've been busy writing the script for Kick. So, no novel as of now, but maybe around Diwali next year, I will have something to share with my fans," he said.
Being in Delhi, is there anything that he always looks forward to? To that he replies, "Oh, I love being in Delhi at this time, the weather is perfect and this slight chill in the air is what I look forward to because in Mumbai you never have such a cold weather."
Talking about Delhi being the inspiration for many of his books, he says, "Delhi is not only the city that I've lived in, many of the books that I've written are based in Delhi, so the moment I come here, it feels very nostalgic and familiar."
