"Langkawi is among the most popular destinations for 'honeymooning' Indian couples," agrees Manoharan Periasamy, director, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board. Also, a honeymoon in Hong Kong can be a lifetime experience for newly-married couples. Hong Kong, with its numerous sightseeing options, chic shopping destinations and other places of interest will ensure the couple has a great honeymoon.

Within India, it remains Kerala and Himachal remain the popular options. Also, couples dreaming of a perfect getaway to de-stress after their wedding, could opt for various spa holidays. Goa, with its stunning sea-views and glorious sunsets, is the ideal destination for a spa holiday to enrich the mind and body, soothe the senses and leave one radiant.

"As far as options go, Europe is on top of the list - unless budgets are a concern, " says Nehal Jani, global travel consultant.
