Vodka is the best spirit to keep around at all times and it is the most popular base spirit for cocktails. With a only a few mixers and liqueurs, you can make a variety of cocktails, each with their own distinct taste.

Here are a few favourites...

Screaming orgasm

Ingredients
29.5 ml Vodka
45 ml Bailey's Irish cream
15 ml Kahlua
Ginger beer to top up
Preparation:
Mix the ingredients together in a tall tumbler and add ice cubes.

Harvey Wallbanger

Ingredients
1 measure vodka
4 measures orange juice
1/2 measure Galliano
Preparation:
Pour the vodka and orange juice over ice cubes in a tall tumbler and stir well.
Float the galliano on top by pouring it over the back of a teaspoon onto the vodka and orange.

Black Russian

Ingredients
2 measures vodka
1 measure Kahlua
Preparation:
Pour the vodka and Kahlua over ice cubes in a whisky tumbler. For a white Russian, top up with double cream. For a longer drink, use a tall tumbler and top up with cola.
