Love can make you do silly things and sometimes you don't even know that you are waiting for someone or pursuing a guy who is either just having a friendly bond towards you or leading you on till he finds a new girlfriend. Or he could be giving you subtle hints that he is not interested in you, but your love for him is not making you see that clearly. Here are some tell tale signs that you should stop going after him...

From everyday messages and phone calls he now messages you once or twice a week. You ask him the reason and all he can say is that he is very "busy".

Even if he is genuinely busy, he is never busy to send a message in a couple of days or call and just talk for a few minutes.

Drop him when you keep calling him and he occasionally comes up with a plan to meet.

You had a nice romantic thing going with him and you plan to take things forward and suddenly he asks you 'why are you so serious about everything in life? Let's take it easy,'

He takes you out on a nice date, you have a great time with him, he says he will call you the next day and he doesn't! Don't get into the analysis of why he didn't call even after he had a good time.

He keeps in touch with you on important events in your life and surprises you on birthday with a 12 am call but then again disappears and suddenly emerges after the weekend passes by without making any plans.

You have been going out with him as friends and he drops subtle hints on being physically involved! Go ahead, only if you want to be involved, not because he will run away if you don't give in!

He could only be your friend if he surprises you on your birthday with gifts, indulges in late night messaging and calls, keeps updates on your work and personal events in life, surprises you with small gifts, takes you out on drives, dinners and movies, is always looking for reasons to keep you happy! Yes, these could be signs of a probable love interest but there are ample reasons why it could not be love and only concern for you as a friend. There is enough proof of many times the guy saying that he did this only as a friend!

You have established a bond and are quite sure that this could be a starting to a relationship! Don't wait for him to pop the question! If you can't stop thinking about him, ask him because guys do not sometimes know if this is the girl they want to meet.

Finally, even a Ranbir Kapoor says clearly in his interviews that so many times he has asked his girl friend to touch his mom's feet but that is not a clear sign that he wants to marry the girl. So don't take any subtle hints for granted. Let him pop the question, discuss about it and then be happy that you are pursuing the right guy instead of someone who is only going to take a U-turn later!
