Still holding on to your crocs or your pleated skirts? Give them a miss now as trends are changing by the day, and it is time to trash a few of the former styles you have been wearing over the last couple of years.
According to experts and fashionistas, some of the worst trends of last year that are still in circulation include the usage of the colour orange, pleated dresses, pink leather jackets and star motifs. Other styles that are out now are the harem pants and the bandage dresses.
Many other looks have been discarded by stylistas worldwide. The boho look, the bare midriff styled tees, clothes in somber shades of grey are no longer hot and happening.
As for beauty, it is time to toss out the tinted moisturiser and get a BB cream instead. Skip the French manicure and get adventurous with your nails by going artistic. Use different colours of nail vanish together, either as stripes or in other creative patterns on your nail. But don't go overboard with glitter and sparkles on the nails as this can look tacky. Visible lipliner is a complete no no, as is the overly made up smoky eye look.
So, this is the year to keep it simple, makeup wise and get adventurous and try new styles where your clothes are concerned. The best news of course, is that the skinny jeans are still very hot and we can hold on to them for another season!
